Title: 022906032BM ME7.1.1
Post by: nobug on December 08, 2014, 04:25:05 PM
Kind of a newb here, but have done a fair amount of ME7.5 with no issues, have also done a few of the diesel edc chips by desoldering and writing.

This ME7.1.1 has me struggling, I have used the ME7_95040 tool and did a read but it is 1K in size?
Not sure of proper file size for this one, but also I cannot get it into boot mode to write.
I have tried different resistors as some have mentioned in other posts but still no luck
I have been doing lots of reading and searching but can't find a solution.

Any ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Did you desolder the 000 resistor (jumper) from the bottom of the board?

So I found the jumper to desolder, I have seen many ask if it needs to be put back on after writing, but see no replies.
Does it need to be soldered back on?

You will see that I reply the same everytime:

I never have put it back, nor have I had an issue. Try to connect with VCDS with it removed. If you can connect, leave it off. Nyet had to put it back once and it took quite a while to figure that out.

Thank You for your help ddillinger

I'll find out later today how it works out.

So, I have no problem reading the eeprom, tho I get four bytes of info that are different every time I compare the files.
Second trouble I am having, I can't get into boot mode, I have tried v1.31 V1.4 and the gui but no luck. I have tried grounding pin 24
and powering up different ways but no luck. I have removed the 000 jumper.

Any info on what I may be doing wrong

Blue dumb cable, I have used it for all the other ecus I have done. Should I be using something different?
I haven't tried any different cables, I have several different ones I could use, kwp2000, taco, ross tech.
Getting 0xD5 error command not supported.
