Hi guys,

I need some help and guidance for tuning a 2012 VW Polo 1.6 TDi. This will be the first one I do. I do have original CMD -master , ByteShooter-semi slave and MPPS - master. I don't have tri-core.

Any ideas.

Thank you.

ECU must be Continental PCR , so you need to open and unlock OBD read/write if your ECU is locked . When unlocked read/write OBD is easy .

Correct, your tool must support boot mode unlock. Some resistors will need soldering or if your tool has a special head for PCR then it is even easier.
After EEPROM is altered in boot, it is possible to write via OBD.

Actually you can read without unlocking.
The reason the unlock is needed is to flash unsigned code.

Yes, exactly. You can read without unlocking, unlock is needed to flash a file that is not digitally signed by the manufacturer.
