Title: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them. Post by: k0mpresd on September 27, 2012, 08:36:50 AM the d@mos i have does not have these maps listed for whatever reason. the "tuned" file i have has 9 of them in a row, turned up 15% on the bottom row.
can someone please help me out with what they are and the factor please? starting @ 1F1B5E, as seen in the screenshot. Title: Re: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them. Post by: Gonzo on September 27, 2012, 08:50:58 PM N75 duty cycle?
That would be my educated guess since I have never tuned one of these. Title: Re: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them. Post by: k0mpresd on September 27, 2012, 09:46:40 PM definitely not 75. but i got them sorted. :)
Title: Re: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them. Post by: Rick on September 28, 2012, 12:40:44 AM It is the Nm to IQ map. I.e. It relates torque to injected quantity. It is a basic calibration map that a lot of people miss. Unless changed, the increased torque you request will not actually do anything as the calibration map is not scaled correctly. The last column is increased by a fixed percentage, as is the last value in the x axis to meet the new max drivers wish value.
A similar thing then needs doing to another map which relates IQ to injector opening time, as this is a common rail engine. Thank you. i was on my mobile and it was pretty late when i made that comment. im actually on my mobile now. i was going to just put "they are fueling maps", which honestly i thought i had. im so sorry that you feel im short changing you information somehow. some of it paid information (tprot patch). ricks description is actually a bit more detailed than the information i had received before. so thanks. :) the file i have also has the axis for these maps changed. Title: Re: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them. Post by: Rick on September 28, 2012, 05:27:01 AM The axis value changed will be the new increased torque value which corresponds to the new amount of fuel injected.

This is not about me, don't try to turn this into some sort of personal issue, because it's not - this is basic forum etiquette. What saddens me is that you don't even see where you are going wrong. But enough of drama. Title: Re: what are these maps in my vag edc17? d@mos doesnt show them.
