Title: P1612, 18020 After Flashing.
Post by: NicuB on December 07, 2019, 02:05:18 PM
Hello. Car is VW MK4 Jetta 2002 1.8T. I've flashed my ECM from 06A906032HF to 06A906032ML since it has auto to 6-speed swap. I've done from VCDS lite the engine soft coding from 07550 to 07510. Now after these things ECU says 18020 P1612 Engine control module incorrectly coded and for ABS has the "01314 - Engine Control Module: No Communications". What did I do wrong? I've fixed checksums, done flash properly. The car starts but has no boost and I have the ASR light on the dash. Can someone help me? Thank you.

Nevermind. First, the TCU was not removed, second, wiring not properly done so when removing TCU, cleared codes and no codes appeared after, but the car does not even crank. Had to flash the factory auto firmware and reinstall TCU till I'll do proper wiring for this swap.

You should remove tcu
Rewire safety relay to be able to crank
And go to can-gateway - coding - 00006 (even if the same code here) - ok
After that manual software should work fine

I’ve figured it out. I need to do the cruise control wiring, reverse lights wiring and safety clutch pedal wiring. There’s some work to do and after I’ll flash the manual flash file. By the way, is 06A906032HS XDFs compatible with 06A906032ML?. Thanks.
