S4 B5 with 551C

Fitted new MAP sensor OEM

Still getting low atmosphirc reading 650mbar at idel when it should be as close to 1000mbar as possible

Is there a senor on the ecu bord itself that mesures the altitude?

If so were is it? im at work and have a 551C open at home so i can look later

Thanks

It is very distinctive. it is white, and square. Only thing on the top of the board that is white and square-lol

Think i've found it, it has two holes in it one on a corner and the other in the opposite corner

I'm getting 650mbar from the atmospheric reading with vcds and 1000mbar from the new Map sensor and a -35% altitude correction.

Does that mean that the ecu is taking the 1000mbar reading from the Map sensor and seeing the 650mbar from the atmospheric sensor and correcting it by 35% to bring it inline?

Your ECU just sees constantly 0,35 bar of boost ATM.

No that makes no sense

It boosts fine and drives fine as the Map sensor reads correctly.

The -35% is an altitude correction factor which means its taking the map sensor's reading and correcting the atmospheric sensor's reading

Altitude sensor reads 650mbar

35% of 1000mbar = 350mbar + 650mbar =1000mbar so the -35% is the ecu correcting the altitude sensor because it using the Map sensor's reading as correct

The altitude sensor that is on bord itself is read on VCDS genuine copy

Should read 1000mbar or as close to.
