	reading a 2004 1.8t auto ecu « on: September 24, 2011, 04:12:23 PM »

the part number to the ecu is 8E0909518AK.
i've tried it using nefmoto but havent been able to get it to connect and tried a bunch of memory layouts in the list but failed each time.What can i use to read the flash or lash the ecu. thanky

check voltage AT THE OBD on this car. Make sure you use a battery charger hooked up and try to read.

I have no issues reading this car with kwp2000+ and mpps. I do not know about tony's software, but i dont see why it would not work for you

My experience with Tony's software not working was not enough power supply; needed a battery charger. My second issue was due to my cheap eBay cable could NOT stay connected. To know what memory layout, take the screws out and view what's on the chip. Hope that helps. After that it worked PERFECT!

I have read with other tools (optican/mpps) and never have voltage issues. With Nef I pretty much always need to have the batt. voltage above 12.7 and below 14.5 or so or it will have issues with reading. Writing seems to be less voltage dependent.

i guess till try it again. works every time on my s but not this a4.
what memmory layout should work?
