Call me crazy, but that compressor map posted above looks like it came from Frankenturbo. I think they make great turbos, but if there is one thing that I would never have faith in from them, it is any posted compressor map, or random plot of anything with 'estimated' or 'calculated' values. I would look for another source for the compressor map before taking that one at face value. Especially when using it for something important, like tuning.

Are you saying that adding 10 percent to a compressor map isn't sufficiently scientific?

Can someone post K04-064 kompressor map?
The K04-064 is a turbo. The compressor wheel in the TFSI K04 is the 2283. I have also tried to the find an original KKK or BW map under this designation, but only came up the the usual suspects and have been using those for lack of better/authentic material. They are possibly the worst compressor made! Backed up by mountains of evidence...
2283 is used in tons of on Audi applications. Ditto 2280. Haven't seen mountains of evidence. There are no bad compressors wheels (unless they are manufactured poorly). Only people who put them into the wrong application and don't know what they are doing. Take the K26 turbo for example. Stone old technology and some would call it outdated, but boy is that a tough turbo. So careful with unqualified or unqualifiable statements. Compressor wheels are not 'worst' or 'cute' or 'cool'. Those terms are for 'dudes'. Also: we have a few 2283 running in our hybrids; we are no using our 7 blade billets. Lots of companies (including Loba as far as I know) still use the 2283 extensively with great success. |

I think littco was on about the 2283 wheel in the stock TFSI 063 framed unit. Having to tip toe around surge point at 300-4000rpm holding everything back isnt the best. Its a good job there are wheels out there that are a direct fit to stop the surge on spool of the 064. I have the Beach Buggy Turbos anti surge wheel in mine and its awesome, no surge at all however hard you bring it in and still hits silly boost at 3000rpm, but since my car is for the track, its brought in nice any linear to 1.6 bar at 4000rpm.  This is a 1.8T for reference. |

k04-0064 k04-0023 hybrid k03 hybrid both TFSI and 1.8t k04 in rs4 and rs6 ermmm the list goes on. and as for the "Worst" that is my opinion, "dude" or not and very well qualified.... 2283 refers to the sizing, 7+7 2283(sized) wheel works extremely well with no lack of power and hence why it was developed a few years back by someone who wanted to sell hybrids that didn't surge!!! |
