What are the options to log AFR via an AEM UEGO controller? There is a serial out for logging but I can't find and standalone programs to use. It's for a friends B5S4, so I was thinking using his unused EGT or secondary o2 plugs. Can I run the 0-5v out from the gauge to one of the EGT or o2 plugs and log that variable via ME7Logger? Or would this cause issues even though EGTs + secondary o2s are coded out? I am open to suggestions.

I've always wanted to try it.
EGT won't work, its PWM, but O2 might.

Been planning this for a little while now.
My plan is to write some code to output actual Lambda to a new variable though. Otherwise, you will only be able to log voltage from the u variable.

Glad to see I'm not the only one wanting to do this. Been planning this for a little while now.

This is awesome. If you need any help with testing or anything, let me know. I'm right across the Delaware.

Honestly, for just logging, you don't need any custom code.
You can have ME7L do whatever conversion you want from the voltage.

Clarification? I have an AEM wideband, I'd like to tie it into my other logs.

Run the AEM wideband into the rear O2 inputs...
Also, ECUxPlot understands zeitronix logs (it can overlay them onto your ME7L graphs), but if you want, i can try to get it to import AEM logs ... can AEM export .csv

AEM Electronics wideband air/fuel UEGO gauge kits unite unsurpassed accuracy, speed and control with an easy to read, digital interface. They are able to be used with virtually any engine management system, such as the AEM EMS or FIC. The kits feature a Bosch sensor with an accuracy of .1 AFR, making it among the fastest and most accurate widebands available. AEM Electronics digital wideband air/fuel UEGO kits' bright LED display shows A/F ratio in .1 increments, and the sweeping LED "needle" lines the edge and changes color as air/fuel ratio changes from rich to lean. The digital UEGO's come with both silver and black bezels and white and black faceplates that are easily interchangeable. These include the following features: * 0-5V analog output for use with data loggers and EMS units * No free air calibration required * Standard 52mm (2 1/16") gauge housing * 7 segment display readout

so, uh.... will it export CSV?
I dont get it. It has serial output, but no loggers can log it?

I don't think it'll export anything, just raw data. At that point it's up to the logger to do the work no?

Depends if it has a linear output or just analog output.

I can easily add a variable transfer function capability to ECUxPlot if needed.

Meh...just as easy for me the other way. Your way is definitely more universal though.

This is why I like it here. Noone arguing who's way is better, or worried about getting shown up. Just collaboration.

If the AEM setup doesn't have an RPM pickup, it will be impossible to correlate those logs with ME7L logs anyway.. definitely look into running it into the rear o2 input...
