Title: Flashing a different flash to a ecu
Post by: bigdawg56 on June 11, 2011, 06:37:08 PM
Can another flash be modified to work on  4Z7907551AA?

It is hard to determine which files are compatible with each ECU type. The best you can do is find files that are close in the hardware and software part numbers, and for the same engine and transmission type.

so would a file from a 8D0907551AA which is a allroad be close enough to compare to modify with 4Z7907551AA which is a A6?

That is probably as close as you can get. The Allroad and A6 are really the same car, so the files should be compatible.

I am pondering this as well with a LP file for 1.8T 180hp VW and using it on my 1.8T 180hp Audi TT both are AWP engine codes.

I'm fairly certain you will be fine with that combo. You definitely won't hurt anything to try it. Make sure the TT has a wideband 02 sensor. Do it! :)

IMMO might be incompatible. Car should work but some modules may not be happy with the ECU SW.

Make sure you have a back up method of flashing back that is not Nefmoto if you go this route.

Elaborate?

If you flash an image that is not compatible with the data you have on your EPROM IMMO-wise, you will not be able to flash your car with nefmoto nor drive it.

Question... 02 AR... has IMMO... I flashed so far and H-box and M-box file on the ECU without issue using Nefmoto... is the IMMO still active?

IMMO has to do with the image you have on the ECU right now. If the image you have there does not have IMMO then your car is IMMO-less.

I own a 2001 Audi A6 2.8 stock engine and ecu. What high performance files can i flash to my ecu, for better performance, and is there a link to these files? Plaese help... :-\ :-\ :-\

You'll need a real (non-NA) motor if you want real gains from tuning.

That would be correct.

My ask if the immo can be adapted with the new file? I tried this once and had an immo DTC the car didn't start and i flashed back the original file.
