Hello,

Anyone who have the MAF curve from an A6 4.2L V8.. (model 2000). I was in a bit hurry and bought a V8 MAF sensor.. But im not sure if this "sensor" has the same curve as my VR6 3.2 sensor. I changed sensor and got Fuel trims -22%.. Im suspecting that this sensor i a bit diffrent?  I also asume this sensor reads a broader area?

If the RS4 has the same curve i dont really get it...  The RS4 2.7T MAF starts att 124g/s @ 0v  I attached a pic.  The RS4 also uses 512x1 size table. My car uses 129x1 sized curve..  Should i rescale the 521 to 129?

I also noticed that my MAF curve is -60.00g/s @ 0V ??

A6 4.2 and RS4 have different MAF's.
It is the S8 MAF that is the same as the RS4.

It also all depends on model year.

S6 4.2 MAF (one of them) is also the same (including output curve) as RS4 Smiley

I have no logs because I have a boost gauge (makes things easier)

hehe lol This got really messy... I´ll just make it simple.. I´ll put my V8 sensor on the shelf and go back to my old sensor... I found some Damos from the V8 and looked at the curves. I dont know how i can fit a 512 point curve into a 129 point curve via excel formula..

I think I leave this and go back to my old sensor.. to damn many other problems with my car now that needs to dealt with Angry..

Graph the curve as a scatter plot, create a trend line and then show the formula for the trend line. Create a new row of all your voltage values, and then type the formula into the next row with voltage value cells subbed in for the x values.

There's a quicker way, but this gives you a lot of chances to check your work and better understand the process.

MLHFM is also 512x1 on V6 4motions and R32's, stock reads come up as this;

In fact, i'll add a bit more info.

Jim, was it you that put up that HX35 032E file ages ago in the noob area? If so and if it's the one you're using it's slightly different to a stock read so the values are slightly out in places. Attached a pic to show the address if so as it's the end of the map/mlofs that lines it up as usual with these if using/building a def file? Have attached various 512x1 MLHFM's for V6 4motion/R32, they usually line up perfectly between variants - i.e. v6 4mo v v6 4mo, mk4 r32 v mk4 r32 etc as shown.

I've also added some bits which help to find it in white, the reverse-flow hfm5/MLOFS same data/values after the main MLHFM map in them all - the damos files for these are usually highly questionable in places, takes a lot of work to go through each map when building on a stock read so if you use one try the mlofs areas to line up then cross flash - should be spot on! Also if you are using a damos, there's a few with the voltage values re-scale by half which is why people struggle on their stock ones.

Hope it helps!
