I'm trying to read the ECU from an RS6, via bench harness but I get Immobilizer not authenticated...  Now I only have the ECU so can't put it back into the car to read it.  Is there any way/tool I can use to read the original code out?  Will any of these options work?

Galletto in boot mode
KWP2000 in boot mode

Or do I need to unsolder the chip and read it directly?  I would prefer not to do this if at all possible.

Thanks

Ok will then buy Galletto and try boot mode.  Is there anything out there that can read an ECU like this via ODB2 and using a Ross-Tech cable?  That way I would not need to buy another cable.

Oh it's the C5 RS6 (old one), but I also have an RS6 Plus ecu and want to see what the difference is between the std and the Plus coding.  Happy to post the bin files once I can read them...
