Good day!

Is there anyone out here that can shed some light on this fault? I've got an ECU with it set, but flashing over known good EEPROM's or flashdata doesn't seem to be able to clear it out.

How can it be stored even after all this?

ECU in question is a wideband ME7.5

The error is in the Airbag module.

Alright, so how can it be set on my bench and not being able to clear it in any way?

I haven't checked again. I just found it very odd not being able to clear this fault on bench. To add onto this, I like matching EEPROM with the flash (so 032HN bin with 032HN EEPROM).

Now I've found an EEPROM for a certain ECU which seems to set this fault, but when flashing over known good ones it doesn't seem to get rid of it. The car I've tested it on doesn't have airbag faults on other ecu's either.

With a me7.5 wideband ecu on the bench you will see 5 dtcs

16622 P0238
17071 P0687
18057 P1649
18058 P1650
and
17931/P1523/005411 - Crash Signal from Airbag Controller: Implausible Signal

Interesting you have P1609
Please try in your car and report back.
