Title: Trying to access cluster/immo for 03 allroad 2.7t using v1.31 no success, ?? Post by: redline2k on January 06, 2016, 05:53:11 PM I can access ecu info with NefMoto Me7 ecu flasher /logger but only get this far with ArgDub v1.31 programmer using HEX+CAN VCDS USB interface cable in dumb mode:
From NefMoto Me7 ecu flasher /logger 1.9.3.2 Disabling Windows sleep mode. Reading all ECU info. Starting diagnostic session. Successfully started diagnostic session. Negotiating communication timings. Successfully changed to new communication timings. 0% complete. 20% complete. 40% complete. 60% complete. 80% complete. 100% complete. Read 5 ECU info entries: 0x92, System Supplier ECU Hardware Number: 0261208288 0x94, System Supplier ECU Software Number: 1037368391 0x91, Vehicle Manufacturer ECU Hardware Number: 0x0D, , 0xFF 0x9B, Calibration Date: 4Z7907551S , 0020, 0x00001E4B, 0x00000000, 0x1FEE, 2.7L V6/5VT , G 0x9C, Calibration Equiment Software Number: 0x00010100 Restoring Windows sleep mode. Then trying ME7 95040 program version v1.31 C:\>me7_95040 --OBD -p1 --screen Ver: 1.31 Com Port: 1 Baud Rate: 10400 Opening COM1 ... OK Initiating communication ... FAIL. (error=0x07) Closing COM1 I have tried multiple variations of the instruction set. Am I missing something blatantly obvious or do I need a different cable? Thanks for you advice. Although, many do. Just keep that in mind. Title: Re: Trying to access cluster/immo for 03 allroad 2.7t using v1.31 no success, ?? Post by: redline2k on January 06, 2016, 08:26:55 PM ddillenger
Thanks for the info. What is your recommendation for interface? SB_GLI I tried the boot mode instruction set a few different ways but that did not work either unless you might have an instruction line that works. Thanks Title: Re: Trying to access cluster/immo for 03 allroad 2.7t using v1.31 no success, ?? Post by: SB_GLI on January 07, 2016, 06:49:16 AM My VCDS HEX-CAN does not work with argdubs tool. I have tried everything. Although, many do. Just keep that in mind. I think this is more accurate actually. I always use my blue FTDI cable instead of my ross-tech cable for this. You may be able to use the ross tech VCP drivers to make this work with your cable. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/usb/virtual-com-port.html Is your cable actually on COM1 (check windows device manager), or is it something else? The Ross-Tech cable won't be attached to a com port unless you are using that VCP driver. Title: Re: Trying to access cluster/immo for 03 allroad 2.7t using v1.31 no success, ?? Post by: turboat on January 07, 2016, 08:55:54 AM Same, I tried to get my hex-can to work with argdubs tool using the VCP drivers, broke my VCDS setup but didnt manage to make it work. Easier just to keep a $10 blue lead.

Post by: ddillenger on January 07, 2016, 09:37:10 AM my hex-can assigned to com 4 works for any and all programs that work with VCP cables. Not mine, and trust me. If it could be made to work, I would make it. I have installed the VCP drivers more than anyone alive I think-lol. Post by: k0mpresd on January 07, 2016, 09:39:08 AM and then check the VCP box in the properties window to assign it as a usb serial port?

I ordered a KKL cable to see if that will get communications going. |
