im trying to flash a stage3 tune to my b5 s4 and not having any luck. does anyone have any experience with the older socketed asp chips?

Replace the chip or get a different ECU.

These chips cannot be flashed.

i was wondering about that. i cant even get thru in boot mode with galetto cable. even tried flashing my other ecu from my 2000 stage 1 s4
with an autothority flash with no luck. nefmoto or boot mode. just keeps giving me a writing error.

i dont suppose theres anyone here that has a stock h-box for sale?
or someone that can remove this chip and install a stock one for me?
i live in wisconsin by the twin cities, 54751, anyone close?
