Hey guys I am in the process of swapping a 2.7STK engine into my b6 a4.Is it possible to swap over the immo chip from the stock me7.5 ecu into a s4 ecu??Have it matched???So have a working immobilizer???

Just did this today using 4b0907551t ecu it learned my vin no problem, car in question was 04 3.0 A4, I promptly flashed an mbox file on it just wanted to see if I could do it.

No, ME7.5 and ME7.1.x have totally different immo.

If you are using ME7.1.x just start from scratch, you don't need to copy your existing immo. Just add the vin and do the checksum.

should have stated that better, I just read the pins of each ecu and adapted with VCDS. OP would have to use A6 bin for an active immo tho. But it is totally possible to have a working immo on a 2.7t swap.

yes possible
but we don't know if he wants* the immo  or if he needs it for inspection purposes etc.

With how easy it is to adapt an ecu and the theft protection factor I don't see any point in defeating it unless you have a tune that reverts to stock when a new vin is learned.

As soon as I find a definition file for an A6 6mt bin I'm gonna change over the changes on my mbox so I can have an ecu with immo so some thief doesn't start my car with a screw driver and drive off.
