Hello,
I'm learning how to edit ECU maps. My idea was to create a map for 1.8T BFB with Launch Control but without building boost. Just rev limit on 1st gear to for example 3500rpm ( under 1,25km/h ) and I have 3 questions:
- Can it cause damage to engine like normal Launch Control which is building boost? Or is it 100% safe?
- Everything that have to be edited is NMAXDVG NMAXGA and VMAXPNG? Just these 3 things?
- What's the difference between VMAXPNG and VMAXNIV?

Its called a "soft limiter" and is described in the S4wiki

https://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning#Soft_Limiter

I don't think it can damage your engine, it's basically a soft limiter like the one at 6800rpm but just a tad lower. Newer cars implement this aswell while stationairy or cold, and the function is (sort of) available on ME7 aswell.

Okey, so for now , the only thing I don't know is which map represent  VNMX ( described on s4wiki ) and which map represent NMAX from these that I have written above. Do you know? Thanks a lot

No one can help you without you having specified what binary you are using

Also, odds are there are quite a few binaries you can cross-flash which are defined properly
