Hello,
I have an alfa 156 jts 2.0 with a bosch MED711A001 ecu in it.
Anyhow, it seems hard to find any tunerpro xdf's 8r anything for this ecu.
For ME7. 1 there seems to be plenty.

My question is if anyone know, hiw closely are the 2 related? Would it have any benefit trying to use me7 xdf as a base for building and xdf for my MED7 ecu?

Thanks!

Yes. They're almost identical.

The primary difference is fueling since MED is just the DI version of ME. Everything else is nearly the same.

No, an ME XDF will likely not help, but the ME7 FR certainly will

This topic is such a black hole to get a hang of, that it is such a help.

Actually my noobness got me good.

Was thinking "ME7 fr" would had been some other ecu which would had had allready a XDF made for it, which could had been modified to suit my needs.
WRONG, it is a multi hundred page document in german which apparently hides inside it the information for making the XDF file.

Seems daunting, but i guess i will have to dive into it. Hope the car is not a pile of rust when im finished  Grin
