Hi there,im wondering if anybody can really help me,my car is a 1999 audi s4 b5,and I need the original map for the ecu am I right in saying its a bosch motronic,i don't know or have any part numbers on hand my mechanic has them,but when he tried to read the cars ecu it could not find it for some reason,he has the latest software to do this,but when he tried to read it it only got to 6 percent,any help will be much appreciated,regards shane.

Do you no what software he is using? is your car mapped? as some tuner's can disable reading the ecu file over the OBD so the ecu will need to be in boot mode, get him/her to open the ecu and see if it looks normal, if there is a chip that is raised up on a small chip bord then it will need boot mode to read but a new chip solderd in to flash a standard base file onto it.
