My car will start then die. I am a mechanic by trade but have no experience with vw. I have a kkl cable on the way from ebay. Tried locksmiths here in meridian ms with no luck. New battery all grounds checked  trying to go immo off then tape the cluster light. I have zed bull and Mitchell on demand-). Thanks in advance for any help!!! Let me know if you need anything

Look for argdubs tool to read the ecu's e2p. Post it here, and we can immo-off it. Good luck.

the "problem" is the cluster. they are shit. immo off will allow the car to start and run. i do tons and tons of these.

Yes. Do a search through this forum, and read up. Also, what k0m said is correct. It's usually cold solder joints in the cluster making it not recognize the key cylinder.

I was going to say you can fix those clusters most of the time with a soldering iron.

Wow you guys are awesome. Quick response time.  This is something I am not used to. I am right on point how much for a supplied ecm immo off can send numbers. Thanks soo much would have wasted my time with the wrong cable software etc... Thank ya! Love MS
