Title: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on November 11, 2014, 02:12:20 AM
Hi,
i have the error:

17881 - EVAP Leak Detection Pump: Open Circuit
        P1473 - 004 - No Signal/Communication

Now i change:
CDLDP & CDTES from 1 -> 0
and
ESKONF from AA FF 00 30 E3 F8 30 -> AA FF 00 33 E3 F8 30
because
byte3: LSHHK EFLA SU/LDR TEV = 00 11 00 00 -> 00 11 00 11)

I'm right?

48 Views and not a single "Yes" or "No" or "better do that..." ?

TEV=N80, not LDP. I don't recall seing the LDP in the powerstage configuration.

Derp. Give it a shot. It's been a while since I looked at it.

You shouldn't need these.

CDLDP & CDTES from 1 -> 0
and
ESKONF from AA FF 00 30 E3 F8 30 -> AA FF 00 33 E3 F8 30

But still have this error...

Is MSLUB involved here?

MSLUB is the only different from another 518AK file where setting CDLDP to 0 was the solution for this error.

MSLUB is expected flow at different voltages. It is not for circuit diagnosis.

Hm, could it be a wrong "base" coding thru VCDS?

After flashing a virgin .bin ( http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7083.0 ) i had to recode a lot of things...

Considering there are 2 ESKONF, yes. One is for variant coding. Did you change both?

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on November 18, 2014, 12:56:52 AM
Thanks again  :)

Yes, there are 2 ESKONF:

@10ED1: AA FF 00 30 E3 F8 30 which i had changed to: AA FF 00 33 E3 F8 30
and
@10ED8: AA FF 00 30 23 F8 30 which i had changed to: AA FF 00 33 23 F8 30

could the "23" be the problem? But this should refer to the BKV?
E3 = No BKV and 23= BKV existent..of course i have an BKV (or not???)?

Sounds Strange to me...

What should i do now? Set the second to the same as the first?

Do you mean i should do at 184f9 = 00 or FF?

Post by: narf0815 on January 16, 2015, 12:50:07 PM
Hi,
i don't know what's wrong...

CDLDP @ 181A8 = 00
CDTES @ 181B2 = 00
CLATEVE @ 18520 = 00
CLALDPE @ 184f9 = 00
ESKONF  @ 10ED5 = EF

still have the error and yellow light...
File is the community stage1 518ak
Not checksumed..

Are you trying to reprogram the evap as In not equipped from factory, or just prevent dtc's? Are your addreses confirmed correct?

I had a few evap codes on my car (I can't remember exactly which ones...leak detection pump and incorrect flow purge valve I believe) and all that was necessary was to 0 the CDLDP and CDTES parameters. I do however still have all equipment still plugged in.

My readiness for evap is now "not available", but I have all other systems legit set ready so my emissions test will (hopefully) pass.

As far as I have been able to research,  nobody has found a way to set readiness on evap by fooling the ecu. I'm sure it's possible with a hack.

First thing to do IMO is set everything back to stock and confirm your addresses. According to the wiki what you did should have worked if everything is correctly defined.

Post by: narf0815 on January 18, 2015, 08:47:46 AM
i got addresses for CDLDP & CDTES from the stage1v6.xdf.
CLATEVE & CLALDPE from ddillenger on page 1 of this threat.

Yes, i try to reprogram cause europe models don't have it from factory.

If i take the original 518AK 003 file i only had to set CDLDP to 0 and everything is fine...but i have problems with the community stage 1 file.
Maybe a bug in the file?

Title: Re:
Post by: thelastleroy on January 18, 2015, 11:19:41 AM
Which file a are you running? There have been a few revisions. I may have left the CDLDP and CDTES and mslub mods in a few of them by accident, I have removed SAI and defeated the evap for my car specifically.

CDLDP and CDTES were both "1" on thecstock file, original mslub values can be found in the stock file on page 1 of the stage 1 thread.

Try only setting CDLDP and CDTES to "0" only and see if it works. I have no evap codes with this arrangement,  all other parameters are stock.

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on January 18, 2015, 11:53:00 AM
Currently i have flashed v7.

MSLUB has stock, like the 518AK 003 file, values.

I will retry but i'm sure i already tested with CDLDP and CDTES to 0...

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on January 19, 2015, 10:48:35 AM
So, i have set CDLDP and CDTES to 0
Everything else to stock stage1 v7 except MSULB from stock 518AK 003.

I still have the error, yellow light BUT EVAP passed??
And CDSLS is set to 1 but failed...

CLALDPE @ 184f9

Because i expected 01??

I told you, those addresses are specific to the file that I gave them in reference to. You should know this by now. Use the version those addresses are for, find them, and compare to your file. If you can't do that, then just use that file. If you can't do THAT, you can read the megathread on locating DTC's.

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=567.75

Honestly, if you can't do any of that at this point then this probably isn't for you.

In your file:

P1473 0x1C4CA

I might not be so crabby, but you felt it prudent to completely disregard my signature and PM me questions that are best left on the board.

Shape up.

Again sorry. A tip to the DTC link would have been enough.

Thanks A Lot for the help.

P.S.: I'm not a native english speaking person and often use googletranslation which makes it sometimes complicated...

It's alright. I don't mind helping, but there has to be a point at which you stop needing more help than you are providing.

In the future, keep your questions on the forums. Private messaging me isn't appropriate. That's as bad as demanding I do it for you.

Let me make sure im 100% on this, in order to stop the evap dtc its just a matter of setting CDLDP and CDTES to 0 and zeroing the dtc P1473 0x1C4CA at that address.
I know this will not delete it from the ecu as if it were never installed,  but this should be enough correct?

Which evap DTC? There is more than one...To get a conclusive answer, you must provide the relevant data.

Sorry schoolboy error!
17881 - EVAP Leak Detection Pump
            P1473 - 004 - Open Circuit - MIL ON

Exact same thing talked about in this thread

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on April 01, 2015, 01:12:16 AM
Try setting CDLDP and CDTES to 0. This should be enough.

However, i don't know why, i had to delete the DTC. Maybe you not need this.

Just try.

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: seany260 on April 01, 2015, 01:22:08 AM
I'm in the same situation CDLDP and CDTES to 0 and the dtc still comes up.
obviously it's because it's not in the circuit and that's why it comes up on the euro cars
The evaporation pump don't seam to be in the esknof to configure it as not installed, so disabling the DTC must be the only option?

Title: Re: 518AK and EVAP delete
Post by: narf0815 on April 01, 2015, 01:28:37 AM
so disabling the DTC must be the only option?

Sorry, i don't know...But it's working to get the MIL Off and i'm fine with this.

But if you have time, can you test the original 518AK 003 file and only set CDLDP to 0?
This worked for me, but not with the Stage1 518AK 003...
Just to do some research?

So back to my original question, to stop DTC P1473  I need to zero 0x1C4CA, want to be 100% on that. As I can't yet figure out finding the DTC via the megathread linked.

If that's the address I have given for your file, then yes. You should however try to understand how I came up with that address in order to ensure you do it right!
