Thats odd? You can see when I upload in WinOLS there at that address. FWIW, your right there and you can see them in your screen shot! I'll have to figure it out later, but this should help in the meantime, off to work! You could try opening any of the availible Damos files and compare maps to maps.

I think for addresses to be different, you must be using different version. Try posting the  exact bin your working with. Might help us.

Hi Rob

In my screen shot above the bin posted here is the 2d graph at the bottom, the 2d graph at the top was another bin/kp pack that I found on here and that is the one that is off (no wonder I couldnt find the map)

Thanks for the help.

how close is this bin to your passat? I was under the impression that my a4 b6 and the similar year passat had the same motors/ecu/etc

It's close, but in many ways very different... if that makes sense! Ehh, I'm still learning this stuff, but this helped me alot:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,43.0.html

Download the program Tony posted, unzip it and you can open any bin file to tell you exactly what ECU, software, type it is. It's a good start. I have seen same year, make, model, same engine, and two versions or revisions software if you will. Who knows! But thats why people list there software like that:  4B0906018CH 0261207216 360854  Does that make more sense? And FWIW, my personal bin is a 2001 Audi A4 1.8t, I believe yours is 02, returnless style fule system yes?

Here is my bin:

No, KFMLDMN is at 1CC6E, I don't think anything is at 1CC53 (not that I see). Your bin lines up with everything else- KFMLDMN,KFPBRK, KFPBRKNW, KFPRG, KFURL, etc. They are all right there, all in order..... but KFMLDMX just isn't. I'm not a disassembler, so I have no clue why. FWIW, I found it in my own personal bin (2001 A4), and in the bin linked below (2003 A4), very easily. I wish I could help more, but I'm stumped >:(

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php/topic,303.0title,.html

You may have to ask one of the gurus on Nef for help. I'd be interested to know why it's not listed, or a way to tune for your problems without it :-\

you are at the right lace ...
the spikes you see are thz begening of kfzw1 a 124B7 .
the spikes corresponds to negative values .

Thanks, why would my map have negative values and the TT not? (just trying to understand)

does this look correct now?

I can't answer the why except that its timing retard back towards TDC. My file has it as well. It took me a while to figure that you need to have the map "signed" in order to see negative values. My file has this. (Maybe because A4's are tuned for efficiency rather than performance? Just a guess.)

I think you probably know, but its been stated on here in quite a few places to play with timing last, and usually just the last couple rows (unless for E85)

Flex fuel for newer cars. 85% ethanol. Newer cars have a sensor to switch timing/fuel based on fuel type. We don't, so we have to flash whenever we change fuel. The advantage is better performance. E85 has a much higher octane rating , I know it burns much cleaner, and it has a much better ability to prevent engine knock, hence you can increase the shit out of your timing= better performance. Only downside is you can't go as far distance wise on E85 but I think its cheaper so its ok. I have no idea the price. Here's a good read;

 http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=856.0

I haven't played with E85 yet. The closest station is like 40 miles away:(

Hi airtite.

Thanks for uploading that version. In the project properties it says it is ECU version 0261206439 which is apparently the same as the .OLS file for Audi TT 1.8T ARY 180 PS 8N0906018BR ECU I uploaded here:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=467.msg3369#msg3369

However, a comparison of the binary shows that it is different. Where did you get the file?

Yes, and if they had posted them up then it could have saved a few of us some money.

You dont happen too have any a4 1.8t complete files?

Presumably, based on Rob's comment, I only have the same subset of Audi files that a number of other people have. To be honest, I had a good look through the files and posted up the highest quality/most complete DAMOS here:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=467.msg3369

However, I was only really interested in TT engine variants for my research and most particularly BAM and BFV. If Rob has the same files as me and he doesn't have an A4 1.8T DAMOS, then it's pointless me having another look.

What I have, I actually haven't gone all through. I'll see if I can post the zip. I didn't bother posting any because the most relevant had already been posted. With what's already on Nefmoto, aside from a few bits in a file here and there, you can define any Me7 bin. The hardware is different, the maps might have different values, but the software is the same.

It happens. I'm not an expert by any means, but when I define a map, I try to remember the map is for a car. With that said the map should (99% of the time) have a nice flow or pattern to it. I know its wrong if things look all over the place. Hope that helps, I mean, I know its probably something you know, but I try to keep that idea up front.
