Title: Geneticmotorsport? Reputable? Real?
Post by: GGPO on June 28, 2016, 10:44:55 AM
So I am looking to get their MPPS v16 'EU made chip' without a loader unlike the chinky fake 38$ ones on ebay with the loader and different chipsets.... couldnt use it on ANY os i had. including VM ware, where i even tried xp sp2 32 bit..... still nothing, couldnt even recognize it.
SO, my question, is this place legit and worth buying from? They even have the v21 update.

Real MPPS is bought from AMT cartech.

I would not bother with those "EU clones". They are usually almost half the price of a original MPPS master from AMT cartech.

Well i bought this guy. http://www.ebay.com/itm/MPPS-V16-ECU-Flasher-Chip-Tuning-Remapping-Tool-for-EDC15-EDC16-EDC17-Read-Write-/161811214694?hash=item25acb33166:g:vcAAAOSwnH1WXpfh&item=161811214694&vxp=mtr
but it was complete garbage, wouldnt work on ANY instance of windows, and trust me im very adept with computers, and my dad is a programmer/software engineer... we even used a fresh install of windows xp sp2 32-bit just like it says in description... lol.
sooo, will v13 clone cable still be able to program in 2step ? me7.xx

For a China clone yes. The so called "EU clones" are supposed to be made with better components. They are not 2k, but they are usually almost 10x the price of a China clone. The one he is talking about here is €225.00. Anyway the original tool are one of the cheapest on the market and comes without any subscription fees or other shite.

They're still 4k. Far too expensive for 99.9% of hobbiest users.
