Title: EDC17 CP14 - CR140 - DPF Off Solution
Post by: oharris9 on February 14, 2020, 09:53:26 AM
Hi there,

I am looking at making a DPF off solution for this file.

I believe I have located the DPF/FAP switches at BFB53 and BFB54.

DPF/FAP maps appear to be at BF1FC, BEF86 and BF472 but the values in those maps do not seem to make much sense.

The car has the DPF deleted as well as the EGR blocked off. I am trying to locate the correct maps to zero out the EGR, also I am trying to locate the check engine code switches for both lambda sensors, both pressure sensors, the three egt probes and the exhaust flap since they are all disconnected with this downpipe.

Any guidence would be greatly appreciated. Attached is the stock read from the car.

Cheers,

You need to:
1. Disable switches for DPF strategy.
2. Disable any fault checking of the EGT sensors apart from the turbo one, and zero linearization (so you don't have to go through fanctl, else fans will run all the time).
3. Disable any fault checking of the DPF differential sensor and also I recommend zeroing the linearization.
4. Disable EGT sensor cross check.

This is to do it properly.

I can do it, but not for free.

Thank you for the guidance. Much appreciated!

At this point I am trying to locate the maps and use this as a learning opportunity for myself. But, if I am unable to figure it out I will definitely be looking for someone to code it for a fee, and will definitely keep you in mind.

Thanks again!

For some engine are also EU3 software available without DPF. Seems you want to remove every sensor... Also think about boost regulation without any DPF or cat...

Boost control will be fine, it's EDC17 with electronic actuator.

Cross flashing software is much more difficult than just removing it.
You can try to search for software for Russia if it exists, but there can be other compatibility issues, because there are often some other changes on the engine besides just lack of EGR and DPF.

dpf off works fine just with few switches and dtc's off

Everything works fine with dtc's off until you have a car that runs fans all the time ;)
Or randomly cuts power because diff sensor is bad.
