I've got another extremely noob question - i know how to do boot mode using various tools. But i simply cannot get a read or write to the EEPROM on my bench.

Perhaps anyone could shed some light on how to wire this up properly, as i've tried various things for over a few hours now and i can't find a proper answer.

I've got all the hardware required, and have made my own "harnass" as far as i thought is required, but it will simply not work.

Get one of these
https://www.amazon.co.uk/MyCor-Media-ME7-Direct-Control-Devices-KWP2000/dp/B07CLMKXZT

Car cigarette adapter with 5a fuse or 110-220v 1a adapter from any router or ip cam
Switch

Check wiring. Do not forget pin 21 (and 121 if you planning to flash in obd mode)
Power on - vcds. If its ok run bootmode

I think I've just wired mine up wrong, I'll play with it once more else I get one of these.

If i look at this correctly i only need to put 12v and ground on pin 1, 3 and then wire up the rest from the KKL cable.

Thanks a ton for the suggestion
