Hi Gents,

So I got my Car running, and I  tried to get it through mot, but i cannot get it approved with the original 250 Hp, the car can only be approved with 220 Hp.

So how is the best way to decrease the power ? It is a NA engine so lowering boost is not possible  Cheesy But with my limited knowledge to the ECU I can think of following:

Lowering NMAX - FEB82 - i believe it is on 6500RPM at the moment, how much, any guidelines?
Changing Driver Wish Map - E8636 - How? How much, any guidelines?

Is there any other/better way to decrease the power so my car can be approved.

How do they test HP?

That is the only question that matters. Without an answer to that, there is no way to solve the problem.

i think very simple
limit air lowering max throttle body opening
KFWDKSMX max 70 % ?

if he can get away with it the easiest would be to lower the rev limit

Thanks guys..

The Car would be testet on a dyno to prove that the car has the legal amount of power. There is no rev counter in the, and they will not put a tester on to monitor anything. they will however test emissions, but that is not a concern since the car is old it is allowed to pollute quite a lot.

So ? Revs to 6000, and KFWDKSMX max 70 % ? then I sure will be under 220hp ?

Thanks

You can use ecuxplot hp calc to estimate

But dynos are all different so you should use a stock car with a known output on that dyno as a reference.

Just guessing makes zero sense, this is pretty basic stuff.
