Hello.

I have problem with tuning file. From time to time I take some files from one probably OK tuning file provider. This time I bought file for my friends. Audi A6 2.7BiT

Car
Audi A6 2.7T 250hp
ECU
Bosch ME7.1
4Z7907551AA 0261208538 369097

After Tuning we got fault:
17748/P1340/004928 - Camshaft Position Sensor (G40) / Engine Speed Sensor (G28): Incor. Correlation

All would be ok - mechanical defect etc. but there is no defect - with original file all is ok + chains and tensioners have been changed.

Tuner insists on mechanical defect despite diagnostic logs.
I did try the same file on similar car - same issue.

Please help me finding solution.

I have attached original, tuning file and vcds screenshots.

If g40 tells you that g28 is off from sync it means your timing is off or g40 is defective, which is unlikely. Go to vcds, group 93 and look at correction factor, if its more than 3+/3- ,your timing  is off, if not you can be sure its a software issue.

Also if you flash a file with dtc stored you gonna have dtc on next computer aswell until you clear it, just remember that if you already had this code before tuning the file or read the file from this car and flashed on different one.

Yes, I have made screenshots for 90-94 groups and attached them to first post.

So you have confirmed , that if you flash the original file back right now , everything works as it should currently? Dont know what was the time difference between the original pictures and tuned file.

It looks like bank 1 is advanced , even though the solenoid is reporting that it should not be advancing, tell your tuner to tune to car properly, using wrong definition or something.

Tuner insists on mechanical defect. But now I'm sure it is software issue.

I'm not qualified enough to understand changes made in file, so I'm asking for help here.
If someone can fix the file for me (not for free of course), I'd be very grateful.

There are no difference in files you posted, both of them are original

Removed commercial file.

This forum is not for helping you fix bad tunes from third parties.

This is a DIY forum.

If you are having hardware issues (not tune issues) with a non-stock ECU, post logs *not files*.

Definitely do not post VCDS logs, and for fucks sakes don't post screen shots of VCDS screens. Post original .csvs from ME7Logger, leave all headers intact, and do not alter column order or separators

Please re-read forum rules before posting again.

Please do not ask me for tunes. I'm here to help people make their own.

Do not PM me technical questions! Please, ask all questions on the forums! Doing so will ensure the next person with the same issue gets the opportunity to learn from your experience.
