I desoldered the 24c02 from my 06A906018AQ and flashed on the immo off file from here:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=4738.msg46897#msg46897

Now the car starts and runs, so the immo off has worked, but i've got an "Internal Control Module: Rom error" fault code.

I'm not sure if i've done something wrong, or if that file is somehow faulty...

Can anyone have a look at it and see?

I've got the original chip (i flashed that rom onto a new blank chip) so i guess it might be worthwhile doing my own immo off on that file, but its a bit shit if that file in that thread is broken!

Attached the original rom from my ECU, plus a version that i've immo-offed, would be good if someone can take a look at what i've done and see if it looked good.

rom error has nothing to do with the e2p file.

Oh right?

Care to explain what it is then?

It wasnt there before i flashed the immo-off file, but is there now?

Could it have been some sort of unclearable fault code left over in the E2P from whoevers ECU has produced it?

Well just to follow this up flashed my immo-offed file from above and the checksum code has gone. Its all working now, so thanks Smiley

Evidently theres something wrong with that file in the first link, so i'll go post a warning in that thread too.
