Hello,

Im currently trying to do logging using VehiCAL and ME7 Logger. I buyed a Mini-VCI J2534, but both software aren't working, VehiCAL dont show the interface in the menu, and ME7 Logger constantly telling me to check cable and if ignition is on...
I updated the drivers, it didnt help

ME7logger wont work with J2534 Interface.
It is working with vcds or kkl cable.

For vehical check this out.

You just bought the wrong cable.
Send email to vehical. Maybe he can build / integrate your china cable/driver.

Nobody can do that. J2534 standard describes discovery of interfaces, and all applications and interfaces have to follow that.
If the interface does not follow it, it is not a J2534 compliant interface, only the interface vendor can do anything about it. Suggesting the application developer can do anything is absurd.

J2534 is a SAE standard. Not a cable.

What you bought is a "Mini-VCI" cable. Clearly it's actually not J2534 compliant or you don't have the correct drivers for it.

List of tested J2534 cables can be found here:

Ive used my mongoose, tactrix cables without issue. The problem is you are buying sub par products and expecting the world out of them. Most are complete shit. The clone tactrix cable does not work with kline so don't bother with that. Having a good quality cable will not hurt you in any way. Think about the amount of bullshit you have gone threw, wouldn't spending an additional $100 to avoid all the bullshit be worth it?? Just saying, the cheap ass cables are junk and they will list them as whatever they want to sell them.

^^^ this is what I would recommend to use with VehiCAL, me7 logger was good 10+ years ago, but the amount of hoops you need to jump thru to make it work sucks and for someone whos new to this kinda stuff its another learning curve. VehiCAL takes care of all the behind the scenes bullshit and just works, highly recommend.

dumb mode is the main reason its not working.
try with nefmoto software to validate it easily
