I mean can i open ecu box, then connect it to the harness and somehow ground the appropriate pin and start the flash procedure in boot mode via obd? I use galetto 1260. My ECU is bosch ME7.5 0261 208 521. Please attach some pictures of the right pin to ground if this procedure is possible.

Yes you can. You can open up the ECU so you can see the circuit board, but still leave it connected to the two ECU harness connectors.
To get the ECU into boot mode, you have to have the boot pin grounded when the ECU powers up. The ECU is powered by the connection to the car battery, not by the ignition switch.
To get the ECU into boot mode in the car, this process should work: 0) Plug your Galletto cable into the OBD port and get Galletto software ready. 1) Disconnect the battery 2) Insert the key, and turn on the ignition 3) Connect the ECU boot pin to ground 4) Connect the battery 5) Disconnect the ECU boot pin from ground 6) Tell Galletto to connect

Thank you i ll try it tomorrow morning and i ll inform with the results.
Just to be sure those two things: -The ECU cant be harmed this way right? -Can i have a picture of the correct pin to ground? Have seen how its done before but right now i dont feel too comfortable with what i remember.

Well that didnt work. I do the procedure as written even with some variations, p.e. i remove the ground after pressing download to eobd1260 program and/or i remove instruments 10A fuse, but cant pass writing initialization to seed key, erasing and finally to writing. Could be that i dont use resistor, cause i only have a 10.1MΩ at home now, i just ground the pin to the car chassis? Also my battery after measurement with multimeter shows 11.96V. My ECU is 7.5 so i use this pin: Also tried this one but no success: Any clues and help would be more than welcome! Thanks.

Get the ecu out of the car, and do it on the workbench !
Power is good. But more than 12v is recommended.
I always succeeded with this, on the bench with ME7.x'es and Galletto 1260.

Did you try connecting with the NefMoto software in boot mode? The NefMoto software doesn't support any operations in boot mode yet, but it can tell you if it could connect.
It looks like you are using the correct boot pin.

Yes i tried to connect in boot mode with nefmoto flasher tool but it couldnt establish connection.
If i remember corect, 3 sets of 4 tries couldnt send a package or something like this.

Updates:
ECU was tested on bench. We couldnt make it response with galletto, minimon, VAg7flasher, nefmoto tools. Isnt weird? Refuse to work after a typical flashing? ground without resistor "grounded" it?
The problem is that i didnt have EEPROM backup and now no immo code and another 032DR ECU cant start the car's engine.
So now what can i do? Can it be the 29F800BB 8Mbit (1MB) memory? Should i change it with a new one?

Well the procedure i followed is right cause the same procedure worked on the other ECU unit i possess with # 032 DR. The 032 RP did not respond in any way so boot mode was not possible.

So boot mode worked for one ECU and not the other?
If that is the case, I would have to assume some electrical component on the ECU is dead.

i have bricked an ecu trying to read flash with nefmoto... i could even connect to it in boot mode with galletto and flashed a stock file to it and it still wouldnt connect in normal mode let alone start the car anymore.
im guessing something else got corrupt other than the flash chip.

Its true that i can use any compatible* ecu to replace mine with the following procedure:
-Flashing ECU with the bosch sw: 0261208521 (from 032RP ecu). -Flashing the correct working 032rp file -Flashing eeprom with immo or immo defeated
and after the ecu will work fine.
Is it possible from your experience?
* ecu from 1.8T which is drived be wire, wideband lambda, FWD with transverse engine as mine.
