All,

What's your thoughts on changing to iridium plugs on this engine.

I did have them fitted once before but were replaced with the OE plugs when I last serviced.

Any tangible benifits to having them or is it just marketing hype?

Yeah I guess that is one of the benifits.

But the ones im looking at are a step colder, obviously I can read how colder plugs can benifit, but was wondering if the benifits are noticeable/tangible.

Just get NGK BKR7E plugs and gap them around .72mm. They worked well for me both on the KO4 and 3071 applications. Copper is the best conductor but you should replace them every 10k or oil change. Iridium platinum and unobtanium just last longer. They also cost a fortune.
