Looking for some assistance using Vag commander 1.4 to turn immo off on two ECU's. One being VW and the other Audi. Im completely new to this so bear with me.

Im using a bench harness along with a blue kkl cable.
I open vag commander and change connection type to k-line. It wont respond when selecting target (electronic control unit). I figure that's because its not in a car. Ive attempted this with two different ecu's with similar out comes.

(Audi)
I select Engine control unit and pick vag-me7.1.1/7.5/7.8 wakeup pattern 11 (Vag EDC15x wont work) and click read and select auto detect. At this point odometer is grayed out but doesnt respond to clicking immo off.

(VW)
I select Engine control unit and pick Vag-edc 15x and click read. It reads the eeprom data. At this point it gives the the option to click immo on or off but after clicking there is no response.

To test the immo off ive been opening nefmoto flasher to try and read ecu but gives me ECU reports programming session preconditions have not been met. reasons: Immobilizer not authenticated.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bootmode the ecu, then use the line tool built into me7logger, modify and checksum the file, re-bootmode ecu and write it using the command line tool

TBH I'm completely new to this and i'm learning as i go so forgive me for all the questions. Argdubs tool is a little over my head so I got VagDashCom but it wont write to the eeprom. Is the only way to turn immo off on ME7 ECU's is to put it in boot mode?

Lol smh I have a ME7.5 ecu that I would like to turn the IMMO off but unsure how to. I did some research but apparently not enough. Is vag dash or vag commander able to write to the ecu while in boot mode? I would like to use me7 eeprom program but I’m unsure how to navigate it so if there is some who wouldn’t mind assisting me with it that would be greatly appreciated. If not Is there some videos on line of someone using me7 eeprom that I can reference? Thanks again.

What is the issue? Put the ecu in bootmode, use me7eeprom tool, its cmd tool, you only need to read a few posts below the OP in the thread and you will see how to use it.

It is now and received this.

Edit

I was able to get the file and edit the code which is highlighted. I attempted to use eepromtool to remove the immo but couldn't get it to open the file.
