Title: VW Touareg 3.2 unable to "Full Flash Read"
Post by: kltan83 on March 19, 2016, 10:46:23 AM
Hi Guys. I am totally new to this, hence i need some guidance on this. My ride is a 2004 VW Touareg 3.2 V6 and I am using the "Blue" KKL FT232R cable and have trouble running "Full Flash Read". FYI, i initially tried the 29F800BB memory layout & failed, hence i tried all other memory layouts available with the application and still failed. Below are my logs in Nefmoto (V 1.9.3.2) with a 29F800BB memory layout.

Validated FTDI device is in dumb mode.

It keep stating that "aftermarket engine software" is blocking. As i know, this is a totally stock ECU which has not been flashed before.

Nefmoto does not work on many newer ecus. You can try again with the baud rate set at 38400 AFTER you connect, however it likely just won't work.

You can PROBABLY write the ecu with nefmoto. 38400 baud. Make a full backup before attempting though.

I can confirm that Nefmoto will write 022906032BF 04 Touareg VR6. I couldn't get it to read with Nefmoto, but MPPS did in boot mode.....but there is an ORI file posted here if you search. I also needed this http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6719.0
