Title: Using a non-S4 ECU in an S4 Post by: J.Laborde on May 24, 2016, 11:30:19 PM Hello All! :)
I have purchased two ECU's from Ebay going from the S4 wiki to see what is compatible with the S4 B5. These are: Audi A6 2.7tt : 4B0 907 551 T Audi Allroad 2.7tt : 4Z7 907 551 Quoted by daz: "You bought a used ecu that has an immobilizer and want to install it into a car that doesn't. Simply flashing a bin from a car that didn't have the immobilizer referenced in the programming (any North american s4) will disable checking, allowing you to run a mismatched ecu. If you do this the contents of the 95040 are irrelevant." So the process I would go through to use these two ECU's would be: 1) Bootmode ecu 2) Install Mbox binary file on ecu 3) connect ecu to car 4) car should start? Is this correct? regards.
