Title: Internal check sum error on b6 s4
Post by: Audi100LS on June 12, 2016, 12:13:19 AM
I've been messing around tuning a buddies b6 s4 (8E0 910 560G) and tried the 2 step patch and corrected checksums using winols. ECUFix didn't recognize the binary and me7check stated the file was OK.

3 days later and now the car won't start with 17 fault codes, one of them being internal checksum error. I flashed back to the original stock file using galleto, however the code will not clear and the car still won't star .

Has anyone experienced this? Thanks in Advance! I can post up the original and modified bin once I'm home.

Kompressed, Thank you very much!

For those of you that don't know, the b6 s4 ecu changes values in the EEPROM to 33 instead of 01 as some older ecus do.

I used the older version of Argdubs tool to read the e2p, changed the two 33 values to 00, then copied half of the e2p over to another file to run the e2p checksum program.  Then copied that data back over the original saved it, flashed it, and also reflashed the originally corrupt tune, and the car has been running since with no issue.
