Title: "general reject" Post by: skinnytirez on February 28, 2010, 01:25:22 PM So after 2 months of waiting my KWP 2000 cable finally showed up...
I was able to extract my .bin file from my ECU, edit out the O2 sensors and that's where I hit a wall When trying to flash the edited .bin back to the car in the "progress information" box it starts programming ECU, then displays "general reject" and stops all progress I have the battery connected to a charger, and the instrument cluster fuses pulled... what am i missing? thanks for any help btw i'm using VAG ME7 software Title: Re: "general reject" Post by: ArgDub on March 01, 2010, 05:59:09 PM What ecu are you working with? or upload your bin. Try without pulling instrument cluster fuses.

Title: Re: "general reject" Post by: ArgDub on March 07, 2010, 11:33:40 AM I have a diferent version of me7 but in my case contrary to what I've read kwp2000 can't write to ecu if I pull the instrument cluster fuses.
also, is a-box compatible with a more popular s4 ecu like m-box? Title: Re: "general reject" Post by: robin on March 07, 2010, 05:54:53 PM All you need to do is swap to a Hitachi MAF and you can run M box code.

I ran into it while testing my own flashing software. You will have to use boot mode. |
