Title: Re: me7logger not working Post by: nubcake on August 13, 2016, 01:56:27 PM Quote - connection method "double slowinit" added (helps with "instrument cluster" problem) To use double slowinit set in the [Communication] section of the .ecu file: Connect = SLOW-0x00 DoubleDelay = 12 ; Possible values 1 .. 100 (delay in 100ms) This only allows to connect while engine not yet started. Worked for me with DoubleDelay set at 50. Turn ignition on, connect logger, start engine. Title: Re: me7logger not working Post by: prj on August 13, 2016, 06:37:25 PM Set method to SLOW-0x00.
Turn ignition on, connect. If it runs, you are in business. If it keeps disconnecting and you are on the older cluster, set the speed to 10400 baud. After that it will work. The binary can be patched to allow this method to connect with engine running (some RPM > 0 checks have to be patched). This is pretty much required on the older cluster since the connection is not very stable. Title: Re: me7logger not working Post by: ianpgonzaga on November 11, 2016, 01:27:54 AM ok just changing the SLOW-0x11 to 0-00 worked for me
i tried putting in Double init but the file wouldn't work. and i didn't realise you needed to edit the .ecu file to find what needed changing all good now though thanks all :) Title: Re: me7logger not working Post by: prj on November 11, 2016, 01:50:45 AM ok just changing the SLOW-0x11 to 0-00 worked for me That's what SLOW-0x00 does, double slow-init.i tried putting in Double init but the file wouldn't work. and i didn't realise you needed to edit the .ecu file to find what needed changing all good now though thanks all :) |
