Title: Fuel dropping into 0.75EGT protection on idle
Post by: carsey on August 01, 2016, 01:32:52 PM
Hi all

Got a mate who's car isnt running right and overfuelling.

Got him to log it on idle and logged the fuel and Modelled EGT.

After 80-90seconds, the fuel begins to drop off lambda 1 and into .75 EGT protection, obvilously causing a overfuel.

Log is below.

ECU is a 032QN, but running a standard 032HN file.

Any ideas or suggestions?

No MAF signal. Why?

What makes you think it is EGT protection, considering req lambda is flat?

Codes? Trims?

I always though ATR enrichment would be seen through lamsoni_w, but perhaps that's not the case.

Try increasing TABGSS/2 to the max values and see if that works.  You might want to set CDATR and CDATS as well as CATR to 0.
I do see that tats_w is 1035, so it is definitely a dead EGT sensor.

My reply sucked. Sorry.

What is 032QN?  Does this have an EGT sensor from factory?

032HN does not support an egt sensor, so perhaps that's why.   But if not, completely disregard my previous post as ATR is not a factor.

032QN doesnt support a EGT sensor, so its not seeing something it shouldnt be.

MAF signal is 0 because of a larger maf housing than what has been mapped for currently.

don't you think you should address the MAF when you have issues with fueling?

Well yeah,  but surely that wouldnt cause fuel AFR to drop so low.

answers in your logs!

Egtforpartprotection is rising upto 650c

egt sensor data also showing 1035c

suggest maybe a faulty lambda sensor or ecu software isn't compatible with ecu
