Title: Allroad ECU? 427 904 551
Post by: NOTORIOUS VR on March 16, 2010, 10:42:56 AM
Got a friend with an allroad... and has the above ECU number with no letter at the end.

I checked through VAG COM and on the ECU itself... just numbers.

Any idear what ECU flash I can use on it?

All allroad ecus listed in ETKA have letters at the end, what engine code are you working with.

Any 2.7T file "should" be safe. I believe the specific low range transmission settings for the allroad are controlled by the ECU coding.

I have the same ECU in my 2001 AR 6MT. Without any letter.

Any A6/ late S4 map will work. As a matter of fact I am running S4 file now.

Through my own research, the following ECU Hardware is plug and play with the above:

4Z7 907 551 X
4Z7 907 551 L

4B0 907 551 K
4B0 907 551 P
4B0 907 551 X

I don't have a list for auto models. Also keep in mind that the part numbers above indicate plug-n-play compatibility of the hardware ECU box itself and its software. AR requires immobilizer so you cannot use S4 hardware ECU but the S4 software will work when flashed on AR ECU.

You can also get Manual ECU box and flash with automatic software and use in your auto car and vice versa. The ECUs are generally exactly the same hardware with slight revisions over time.

I hope it makes sense.
