Title: Problem write ME7.5 bootmode MPPS Post by: bmwdennis on August 12, 2016, 04:33:39 PM Hello everyone,
The ECU from my Leon Cupra R chipped AMK engine is broken through water damage. Recently i bought a ECU from Ebay and i have the immo files copyed to the new ECU, car runs fine. Now i will copy the maps, because my old ECU is chipped, can i not connect it whith Nefmoto flash software. Validated FTDI device is in dumb mode. Disconnected Connecting... Starting slow init connection. Connecting to address 0x01. Slow init failed. Disconnected The ME7_95040 tool says: D:\>me7_95040 --bootmode -r -p 4 95040.bin Ver: 1.31 Com Port: 4 Baud Rate: 10400 Opening COM4 ... OK Starting Boot_mode ... uC identification response = 0xC5 (C167 derivatives) ... OK Sending Loader + MonitorCore ... MonitorCore successfully launched Initializing registers ... ... OK Sending EEPROM driver ... OK Searching Chip_Select pin ... FAIL. (error=0x01) Closing COM4 I think the ECU is bricked. Now have i a MPPS (clone) cable and i try with bootmode(generic) to connect ECU. ECU indentifaction and reading the ECU goes succesfully. But when i will write the ECU in bootmode says the program: ECU not found. Has anyone a idea to fix this issue? Thanks in advance, Dennis from Holland!:> Title: Re: Problem write ME7.5 bootmode MPPS Post by: gman86 on August 12, 2016, 06:18:00 PM Hello everyone, The ECU from my Leon Cupra R chipped AMK engine is broken through water damage. Yes i have HEX+CAN cable with VCDS and when i try connect with ECU get i the follow message: ECU will not response. In the car and on the bench get the same message. Other controllers/ecus in the car works. Also i have a KKL VAG-COM cable (VAG 409.1) Title: Re: Problem write ME7.5 bootmode MPPS Post by: prj on August 13, 2016, 06:30:22 PM Supply the CS pin manually. The ECU runs fine, as there are comms with the EEPROM tool.
The CS pin is P4.7 for this ECU. Title: Re: Problem write ME7.5 bootmode MPPS Post by: bmwdennis on August 14, 2016, 01:15:48 PM Hi Prj,
That works fine, i can write the eeprom with another file. And i can read it and is the eeprom correctly writen. But still i get the follow message: ECU not found with Nefmoto flasher or MPPS when i try to write maps. With VCDS can't connect and car doesnt start. Cant connect with VCDS or other diagnostics Reading still work with MPPS but when i write in Generic mode @ low speed the follow message comes after 30 seconds: ECU not found. How can i manually supply CS pin 4.7? |
