Title: Hot swapping Flash chips after booting. Post by: carlossus on November 04, 2011, 05:29:56 AM I’m making a simple flash chip selector circuit so I can toggle tunes using the number of pulses on the ignition switch.
I need to be able to boot from A then switch to B to be able to flash a blank or corrupted device and vice versa. Are there any implications in doing this say.. 10 seconds after boot time? e.g. Enable Flash A (with good image)… . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Boot… . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Wait 10s… . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Enable Flash B… . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Connect Nefmoto and re-flash over blank image. Or can I reduce this time somewhat? Thanks. Title: Re: Hot swapping Flash chips after booting. Post by: kls on November 06, 2011, 01:04:44 PM I used this technique via a toggle switch and the CE# line - worked fine all but one time. To really know if the flash gets accessed at other times you'd need to scope it.
