Title: Scirocco 2.0 TSI Project MED17.5, DQ250 DSG Post by: sjscirocco3 on October 03, 2016, 03:17:31 PM Hello,
I bought a Scirocco 2.0 TSI with DSG and major engine damage due to broken chain tensioner. Long story short, I bought new pistons from APR, new conrods from IE, Wagner intercooler, HG Motorsport intake and decat downpipe (cheap ebay stuff ;)). Also turbocharger was changed to a k04 with modifications, rated 420 hp max. Now as it comes to the software part, first i want to provide you with the relevant data :) DAMOS OLS MED17.5 211 HP Engine CCZB (German and English) Original File Scirocco 200 HP Engine CAWB File that was on the ECU (prob. not safe!!) 200 -> 265 HP CAWB OLS with the important Maps for CAWB Engine, done by myself (German only) DAMOS VAG DQ250 DSG (6-Speed), (German only) http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/XxYH3A0W/file.html http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/1XsoPkMg/file.html http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/hqHs8zqV/file.html http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/ajU6mBxu/file.html http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/ns0S3CRi/file.html http://www95.zippyshare.com/v/xpDgUYHA/file.html DISCLAMER: Do whatever you want with the files. If they are useful to you, maybe send me some interesting files :) If you need I can translate German to English. At first, I wanted to get the engine again in a drivable state, don't care about the HP. I had constant difference between specified and actual boost pressure because of stronger wastegate. So i modified FAKWG from 0,26 to 0,17. That corrected the permanent difference but I had still limp mode because of heavy overshoots. So I investigated again and found out that KFIWG is responsible for this one. So I lowered the values in the negative hPa for -150 hPa 15% and for -100, -50 hPa 10%. Now no overshooting anymore and good driveability. At least the control theory lectures in my degree payed out haha ;) Next, I investigated the "famous tune" that was on the ECU as I bought the car. They modified requested fill, max pressure, spark, ... But there are some things I want to talk about: They increase values in KFFKRXTM, this is the map for engine protection at high engine temperature. If I read the FR correct, I think this is very bad practice and shuld be reverted to original. They make high rpm/high load AFR more LEANER in KFLBTS and KFLBTSLBKO. Wrong direction of percentage tuning or is this for fuel economy??? I also think it's bad. Timing is also a little advanced in the high rpm / load conditions. About 0.75° - 1.5°. I think this is ok as the car is designed to operate on 95 ROZ fuel and I provide 102 ROZ fuel atm. I think 98 ROZ would be also ok because the MOZ of 88 is the same in both fuel. And there is one map at 5D5E6, 9x16 ... maybe you can tell me what it is? My goals are: 1. Fix the issues mentioned above, if they are issues. 2. Drive the first 1000 km with the new engine 3. Buy a wideband lambda and exchange it with the narrowband (CAWB only has 1 narrowband). Two choices: just exchange and do narrowband fake with external controller or tell the ECU that this is now wideband lambda (CCZB has 2 lambda, 1 wide and 1 narrow). 4. DSG changes: lower shifting times, lower paddle reaction time, maybe increased pressure if possible, launchcontrol, disable manual kickdown 5. ECU changes: more power :) short safe steps ... I look forward to a nice discussion and some recommendations. It's fine for stock modes of operation (when those cells are actually never reached), but need to be modified for tuned cars. thx for your contribution. But the ols you provided is not med17.5.5 but MED 17.1 ( US ) they are a bit different. And there is one map at 5D5E6, 9x16 ... maybe you can tell me what it is? <---- Map for APP Ratio reevaluation in case of an active winter drive mode Title: Re: Scirocco 2.0 TSI Project MED17.5, DQ250 DSG Post by: purepower on October 08, 2018, 03:21:33 AM Hi,
someone can upload again the DAMOS OLS MED17.5 211 HP Engine CCZB (German and English) at least? The link is expired. Thanks a lot! The link is expired. Thanks a lot! The standard plug is a resistor plug, I'd make sure any replacement is also. BKR7EIX is recommended. Do you have VCDS logs with lambda control, injection time and rail pressure?
