Title: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on November 08, 2016, 07:47:18 AM Hey guys,
I tried searching a bit but unsure if I'm not looking for the right words or what but I am looking to confirm if the ECU layout is the same for the 2.8V6 as it is for the 2.7TTV6. I ask because I need to pull the BIN from a 2.8V6 and code something out, was hoping that with my current setup which works on 2.7TTV6s I can just plug it in and read. Am I right in thinking it will work? Thx for any help. You can read the flash in 1024kb if you are not sure, if the flash is 512kb it will be double in the .bin Title: Re: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on November 08, 2016, 05:44:08 PM Here's the BIN. I was able to read it without issue without changing anything in my NefMoto settings which I currently have aligned for my '00 S4. Must be the same memory layout.
Anyway, I haven't used TunerPro in a long time but if I'm looking for the evap tables and can't find them defined on that side panel, does that mean I need to find a better def file? According to the S4 Tuning Wiki I need to take a look @ these three tables.. CDLDP - Eurobyte - LDP Diagnosis CDTES - Eurobyte - EVAP diagnosis CLATEVE - EVAP plug CLALDPE - LDP plug I essentially just want to turn off the evap pump completely. We replaced the hose that runs from the engine down to the pump and still getting the evap pump running too long etc. Title: Re: Post by: macxxx on November 08, 2016, 11:32:58 PM evap pump?
Title: Re: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on November 09, 2016, 06:18:11 AM Ug sorry, I meant secondary air.. It's an automatic car. Idk why evap pump kept coming to my head. Is secondary air something you can turn off?
Title: Re: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on November 09, 2016, 07:25:56 AM I think this is what I wanted to do..
http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning#Secondary_Air_Injection It sounds like the second option is best for me since the pump is failing. The insufficient flow code keeps throwing. I guess I will try to set those tables to 0, and unplug from the relay? I'll dig up where that is. Title: Re: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: AudiSportB5S4 on November 10, 2016, 07:19:06 AM If I need the XDF on this, I need to post up the ECU ID right? I can't find those tables to edit in the XDF that I use for my S4. Darn.
Title: Re: Post by: macxxx on November 10, 2016, 07:39:29 AM I dont think that there are any xdf available for your bin - you have to define it by yourself
I had that problem when l tried to switch off cat diagnosiss in my a6 2.4 AML Title: Re: 2.8 V6 from 2000 A6 Post by: gt-innovation on November 10, 2016, 09:38:31 AM Hey guys, I tried searching a bit but unsure if I'm not looking for the right words or what but I am looking to confirm if the ECU layout is the same for the 2.8V6 as it is for the 2.7TTV6.
