Title: B6 A4 2.7tt swap: Very touchy throttle response Post by: amd is the best on December 22, 2016, 05:46:18 PM Guys,
I am in need of some assistance with this car I am tuning for a friend. A little background on the car/swap. 2004 Audi A4 3.0 manual is how the car started life. The owner has swapped in a 2.7t from a 2000 S4 including the full 2000 harness. I am not 100% on all the little details, but that's what I know. The engine has also been bored .060 over with similar compression to stock. Running stock new K03's, stock fueling, stock maf. He brought it to me to create just a "stage 2" type tune. I have the tune pretty ironed out for WOT. It was far trickier than any M-box stage 2 file I've done (which isn't many anyway). I'm not sure if the extra displacement can throw the PID way off but either way, I'm pretty happy with all that. On to my question, even on a bone stock M-box file, the throttle is not like it feels in a B5. 20% feels like 50%, 40% feels like 70% and so on (these are rough guesses for example). It just feels the same if someone ramps up kfped or IRL like crazy, but on a stock file. My thoughts, does the B6 A4 3.0 use the same pedal sensor as the B5? Could this completely be throwing off the request? Also, the ratios of this transmission are quite a bit different than the 01E in a B5. Maybe that has some kind of affect on the throttle? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Title: Re: B6 A4 2.7tt swap: Very touchy throttle response Post by: nubcake on December 22, 2016, 05:48:28 PM Just log it?
