Title: ASM Launch control Vs S4Wiki
Post by: dokalanyi on January 03, 2017, 04:04:23 AM
Happy new year everybody!

What's the difference between the assembly launch control, and the rudimentary one described here: http://s4wiki.com/wiki/Tuning#Launch_control? What are the advantages or the one that's better?

One builds boost, one doesn't.

soft limiter cuts fuel.   hard limiter (anti-lag) cuts spark.

Anti lag is much harder on components as you are igniting the unburned fuel mixture in the exhaust/turbos.

Depending on your actual ECU, you might not even get a 100% throttle plate opening with "rudimentary" one.
I prefer to always do it asm way. Both fuel and/or spark.
