Title: Forgot to checksum and now no sign of life. Post by: Jim_Coupe on January 24, 2017, 11:08:33 AM Hi,
I forgot to do a checksum on my me7.5 ECU today... I flashed it and now I lost connection. Last time i was in the same situation i just reflased the ECU on the bench with a KWP2000+ but dont have that tool here right now.. What o DO have is a KKL cable and a KESS tool.. But i have tried the KESS tool och the bench but it cant find the ECU either. I ordered an AMT flasher they use to work when in trouble.. but it will take couple weeks b4 i get that.. So whan can i do with what i have?? Title: Re: Forgot to checksum and now no sign of life. Title: Re: Forgot to checksum and now no sign of life. Post by: Jim_Coupe on January 25, 2017, 11:43:49 AM haha Mighty? A mighty noob is more like it .. :) well yes I have but never managed to do that on just an KKL cable. (My MPPS cable got toasted some how.. Cough* Cough*) . I tried MiniMon with KKL but didnt managed to get it all correct with that.:) I managed to get it re-flashed on bench with Me7 visual logger. Its possible to do it on the bench with that program IF you do it just after having flashed new eeprom 95040 :) So now problem solved.
Well this was my first Me7.5 to boot mode.. I have only done that B4 with my Me7.1.1 and Me7.x Narrowband and some MS43 :) Title: Re: Forgot to checksum and now no sign of life. Remember to disconnect car battery for 5 minutes (or plugs from ECU) before trying to connect to ECU with NefMoto Flasher. Title: Re: Forgot to checksum and now no sign of life.
