Title: Low impedance injectors 1.8t ME 7.5
Post by: KasperH on February 02, 2017, 12:32:18 AM
I got some AUS 1000cc low Z injectors for helping a friend with his car, it came with flow charts and battery offset.

Would it be worth it to install a resistor pack being that ME 7.5 is high Z?
Or should I trade/sell them for some lower cc high z injectors?

Couldn't really find any substantial info about low Z injectors and resistor packs for the 1.8t.

I would not go through that trouble when there are suitable injectors for your application. Do you need 1000cc? I am not sure if that will idle very well on a small displacement like the 1.8t due to minimum opening times. At least not all of the brands that are out there... Decide your power goals first, if it is under 400hp I would not go any bigger than 550cc on petrol.

I'm still on stock-ish k03s hardware so that was my initial thought too, but the headroom would always be nice.
But again the headroom I would get with 1000cc would be huge  :P

I was thinking something along the lines of some Bosch EV14 650cc would be more than enough, and would leave headroom for bigger/hybrid turbo :)

That is too much headroom and you'd never be able to tune them properly.

Bosch is 630cc; not 650.  Flows fine at 360bhp at 3 bar.  550 would be fine too.

Yeah I'm going 630/550cc depending on how much I get for the AUS injectors.

Thanks for your help :)
