Title: Wideband conversion, 1.8t APU engine - ECU and file suggestions?
Post by: rotax on February 07, 2017, 12:34:09 PM
Hi
I'm going to do a wideband conversion of my 2000 A6 with APU engine.
It's a non VVT, single NB O2, no ESP, 058 engine.

I've done som digging and have had my eyes on the 018CG ecu, it's a 2001 A6 AWT engine box (WB, VVT).
It looks as almost everything lines up wiring-wise, there are some diffs with the brake servo wiring though.

I'm also looking to find a well defined bin-file to go with, my plan is to use 225tt injectors and a K04 hybrid aiming at 280-290 ish HP figures.
(I do not by any means mean that i want to find a ready tune, just trying to find a bin where most of the values/tables are known/defined.)

Any thougth and suggestions to what ECU and what bin-file would suit me best is greatly appreciated!

I've attached a spreadsheet with the pinouts of some ECUs i've been contemplating to use.

/D

I did this couple weeks ago on my ANB/APU engine. 1.8t A4

I used 032HJ ECU from Skoda octavia and used a Stage 3 file..  Adjusted for my 630cc dekas +Gt28(China)  It runs Okay but im not sure if i shall copy some tables from my old tune..  Im uncertain about if the ignition should be the same as the old box or if its prefered to use a VVT car´s ign. I also think the ECU need some fine tuning in some areas. the fueltrims needs to be adjusted in some areas.  But maybe some map can be taken from the old narrowband AA/AL/AC ECU they look similar. Maybe someone here can answer
