tried to read a ECU pn# 8N0 906 018 BJ (s3 8L) and it seems the car is now in valet mode. no boost. no power. i am wondering if i can just overwrite the file with a generic one and work on the tune from there? thanks! Bootmode. So i need to get a virgin EEPROM? His ECU is the same part number as my ECU.... will the EEPROM (with the IMMO, VIN etc. changed in HEX) be OK to upload onto his? The flash i have is also pulled form the same ECU part#....
