Title: FT232R Cable not working Post by: Pasteurised on March 03, 2017, 01:58:52 PM Hey guys, having trouble with this cable and Nefmoto.
The software can see the cable but when i try to connect it gives me the "failed to read test echo from FTDI device" error. Its definitely in dumb mode. This is the Device info nefmoto gives me, do i need to change anything in FTprog? Yes its plugged in and car ignition switched on. VCDS connects no problem. Title: Re: FT232R Cable not working Post by: AARDQ on March 03, 2017, 02:39:44 PM On occasion (25% of the time?) I have to put VCDS through Test, save the config and close VCDS and then Nef will see the cable. Has to be plugged into the USB before plugging in to the OBD.
