Post by: Pasteurised on March 28, 2017, 04:36:33 PM
Hey guys, wondering if anyone can confirm if the 06A906032HN and 06A906032HJ are wideband ECU.
I want to buy a spare and clone my BAM ECU.
Thanks

Just to be clear, are you buying an ECU with the same part number as your BAM ECU?
Or are you buying a cheaper ECU and cross flashing them?

It's a different part number, I have a bench flash setup so plan to flash the eeprom from my 8N0906018H across.

Anyone wanna chime in?

Check bootrom of both flashes (me7check) for your answer.  If they match, there's good chance they can be cross flashed.

Managed to find an original .bin for 06A906032HN and compared it to the 8N0906018H, both show Bootrom Version = 05.12

What is the procedure? Just write the eeprom then write the flash?

It should not need changes to e2p, just flash the other file.   When doing these types of things, best to have a bench setup so you can revert back if necessary.
